Context of the project:

The secure use of data is a societal challenge in Flanders, Wallonia and France, and concerns governments as well as businesses, organisations, research institutions and citizens. Data is an essential resource for economic growth, competitiveness, innovation, job creation and social progress.

However, the way in which data is processed today is no longer tenable and leads to its use being dangerous. SecuWeb is therefore committed to developing innovative technologies for a new, safer Internet.

Project objective:

SecuWeb is investigating new technologies for safer use of data, such as Solid, blockchain, quantum internet, 5G, AI and IoT. Using demonstrators and use cases, we explore how to implement these technologies in businesses and public and private organisations. We focus on key sectors such as healthcare, industry 4.0, mobility and nutrition.
