Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders – HealthTech Valley: Creating a leading cross-border health tech cluster by bringing together the healthcare ecosystems of Hauts-de-France, Flanders, and Wallonia.

Objectives of the project
HealthTech Valley brings together talent and innovation in healthcare from Hauts-de-France, Flanders and Wallonia : three dynamic regions where tomorrow’s solutions in healthcare, biotech, medtech and digital technology are being invented. This unique cross-border synergy has given rise to a truly leading European cluster, designed to accelerate collaboration, promote technology transfer and stimulate investment.
A true catalyst for investment, HealthTech Valley mobilises public and private funds to bring new ambitious projects to fruition and enhance the region’s appeal.
Its ambition is to make this region an international showcase for healthcare innovation, where companies, researchers, investors and talent from around the world come together.
Our areas of focus:
The project is based on three complementary areas:
- Tech transfer: mapping stakeholders, creating a cross-border committee, organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions to facilitate collaboration between universities, hospitals, incubators, and project leaders.
- Financing & investment: analyzing existing mechanisms, connecting companies and investors, offering cross-training, and initiating the creation of a cross-border fund dedicated to healthtech.
- Regional marketing: defining and promoting the “HealthTech Valley” identity in order to showcase the region’s expertise and attract investment, businesses, and talent.
A strategic impact for the region
Hauts-de-France, Flanders, and Wallonia already have strong healthcare ecosystems, supported by leading players in research, innovation, and industry. HealthTech Valley is creating the missing link to transform these strengths into a shared powerhouse by facilitating technology exchanges, connecting companies and investors more effectively, and giving the region visibility commensurate with its expertise.
